Movie Premiere Interview…

Having attended several movie premieres, it would be justified to say that the premiere of “Between Kings and Queens” was definitely one of the best Golden Icons has attended. The evening commenced with a few interviews and everyone mingling around, while some VIP guests were having refreshments and snacks in a special section of the theatre.
In addition to the display of class and style, watching this movie gave a perception of one that can cut across all nationalities, irrespective of the background. At the initial state of watching this movie “Between Kings and Queens”, it reminded me of the popular “Coming to America” movie, with a different, unique and mind blowing story line. This movie is very humorous and also entertaining and it is definitely a movie GOLDEN ICONS would officially recommend.
The film is the US directorial debut of Joy Dickson. Inspired by Dickson’s own personal experiences, the film explores varied themes such as identity, culture, and moral codes, as well as race relations between African-Americans and Africans.
The film was guided by Director of Photography (Michael Morlan) and features breakthrough performances by Dajuan Johnson, Nakia Burrise, and Nigerian superstar Jim Iyke.
The movie Between Kings and Queens is the story of a prince from Africa, who seeks to escape his royal duties by fleeing to America. Torn between new love and free will, his immigrant experience in the land of liberty quickly unravels as he finds himself running for his life.
