Malaysia Officially Calls it Quits with Search for AirAsia Survivors!

According to Guardian, Malaysian officials have declare the search for survivors from the unfortunate AirAsia jet that crashed into the Java Sea last month. With this announcement, the company can begin the process of paying compensations to the relatives, but this news also instigated fury among the relatives of the 239 people on board, some of whom still believe there is still a chance their loved ones may be alive and would not accept the decision.

Civil aviation chief, Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, said that Malaysia was officially declaring – “with heaviest heart and deepest sorrow” – that all passengers and crew on board the flight had lost their lives, given the extent and length of the search and the low probability of survival in the remote stretch of the Southern Indian Ocean where the plane is believed to have crashed.
