Amazing Rescue Operation! Policemen saves New Zealand Woman from drowning in Sinking Car

New Zealand Police constables Paul Watts and Simon Russell said they were simply doing their jobs after rescuing a woman from a sinking car that almost drowned a minute before the car rolled into the water at Northcote Point on February 17, 2015 in Auckland, New Zealand, according to the New Zealand Herald.

The officers were reportedly alerted about the incident, and at the time they arrived, the car was approximately 75 percent submerged. While two other people helped to keep the car above water, Watts found a rock that he used to smashed the back windshield, in order to pull the woman out of the car to safety.

“At that time the car actually started to move very fast into the water,” Russell told the Herald. “I was trying to hold the car, slowing it down from entering the water.”
